Description

RampAir is the next evolutionary stage of air suspension – an intelligent two-chamber system with a movable piston and a higher pressure level. The piston separates both positive chambers and enables targeted interaction between the chambers from about half of the suspension travel. This harmonizes the characteristic curve and makes your suspension significantly more powerful.

A uniform, linear spring characteristic is difficult to achieve with air suspension systems, as air naturally behaves exponential. This often causes conventional air suspension forks to lack the Important mid-stroke support, so the stability in the mid-travel range.

To compensate for this shortage, many manufacturers are relying on Too stiff compression damping. The result: Riders reduce air pressure to maintain sensitive responsiveness over small bumps. However, due to the lack of mid-stroke support, many tend to, Volume spacer to gain more support – which however only leads to a overly progressive course at the end of the spring travel.

RampAir solves this problem intelligently: The system uses the natural progression of air to create a linear and controlled spring characteristic to generate. This gives you suspension that works optimally throughout its entire travel range – sensitive in the initial stroke, stable in the mid-range, and controlled in the end range. The pressure in the main and ramp air chambers can be adjusted individually, allowing you to perfectly adapt your suspension to your riding style and terrain.
